Bridgeport Speedway would like to welcome Design For Vision and Sunglass Central as new marketing partners with Bridgeport. Design for Vision and Sunglass Central are partner companies owned by former modified competitor Don Manning. Don and his son Roger Manning (who pilots the 414 sportsman car at Bridgeport) are second and third generation owners of the Bucks County business started by Don’s father in 1955. The business carries over 100 brands of the latest and hottest designs, styles, and trends in prescription eyewear and sunglasses such as, Ray Ban, Oakley, Costa, Chanel, Gucci, Kate Spade, Oliver peoples and more. Design for Vision offers complete family eye care including comprehensive eye exams and contact lenses by independent optometrists at all locations. Proper Cleaning of Your Eyeglasses & Sunglasses
Cleaning your eyewear these days has become a little tricky. When choosing a liquid be very careful not to choose any solutions that contain Alcohol or Ammonia. Lens materials as well as their coating can react to these chemicals. After time, or even a single use, you may begin to lenses begin to show stress cracks or the coating begin to separate from the lenses. Therefore, some of the most common household glass cleaners should never be used!
Same is true for some of the frame materials used today. Alot of the most common Ray Ban sunglass frames will react adversely to an alcohol based cleaner. We have seen one application ruin a frame!
If you want to clean you glasses properly, a simple mixture of dish wash detergent and tap water works just fine....Remember to clean one lens at a time and dry them with a soft towel or good quality paper towel. www.designforvision.com
